Migration: Challenge to Religious Identity I

Migration: Challenge to Religious Identity I
Forum Mission / Book 4

Migration affects many people today and has various causes and consequences. In this modern migration of peoples, those affected take their culture and religion with them. What then happens in the encounter with other cultural and religious values is both fascinating and painful. Authors from Asia, Africa, North and South America and Europe explore these encounters and the associated challenges in a variety of ways. The wide range of situations described and reflected upon makes for fascinating reading. It contributes to a deeper sensitisation in intercultural and interreligious coexistence and cooperation, which is part of modern everyday life. ‘Migration: A Challenge for Religious Identity’ is the fourth volume in the FORUM MISSION yearbook series. The first three volumes were published under the titles: ‘Interreligious Dialogue’, ‘Christian Identity I’ and ‘Christian Identity II’.
